The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), with a single, primary location, needed a safer, more efficient way to transport aluminum highway signs across long distances, including routes that spanned Tucson, Phoenix,, and Flagstaff.
ADOT’s existing single A-frame trailer required the highway signs to be disassembled, separated from mounting brackets and hardware, and stowed in several pieces. The limitations required the sign and its hardware to be handled multiple times with a crane, and potentially hauled in numerous trips, substantially slowing down operations.
